Each people group on the Last Reached Initiative list has these five distinct characteristics:

​

  1. They have an historically unique language.

  2. They have a distinct cultural and heritage.

  3. There are no Christian resources in their language such as Radio, SAT TV, Jesus Film or Bible.

  4. They number more than 5,000 in population.

  5. There are no known Christ communities locally or around the world.

REGIONS OF FOCUS

At present, LRI is looking at numerous regions of the world and various countries within to focus on. Areas of focus can include regions of Crisis, A predominant Religion, Common Culture, Geography, Hostility toward Christianity, and Established National Movement.
